ESPN's Dan Dakich tweets non-apology apology to Tom Izzo, Michigan State

Tom Izzo blasts Dan Dakich for Michigan State comments

He addressed the issue, blasted Dakich for his audacity to tweet that and claimed that HE HIMSELF would have lead the chants had he known what Dakich had said before the game. Izzo said he didn't approve of these chants until he was told in the locker room at halftime about why Dakich was targeted.

Dakich called Michigan State whiners, and the like, via social media last week. "If I would have known that before the game, I would have embarrassed myself nearly as much as he embarrassed himself".

That tweet has since been deleted, but as we all know, nothing on social media is ever really deleted.

"Calling us whiners and that is kind of unprofessional".

Tom Izzo is defending the fan base that has done nothing but support him since 1995 when he took the head coaching job for Michigan State. Classy broadcasters, like George Blaha and everybody else, wouldn't have even thought to do something like that on TV. He made loud comments throughout the game, all but cheering for MI, and got into an argument with former Danville Advocate Messenger sportswriter and current WLEX-TV contributor Larry Vaught. "That is a disappointment and that is ridiculous". "And somebody read me his tweets".

"I think it's amusing because I have no respect for him for that and I am going to publicly say that", Izzo said. You can read it. "But Twitter got him in trouble, and I'm surprised ESPN would let somebody say something like that that works for them", Izzo said. Another one for Twitter.

"Danny owes our fans and our students an apology", Izzo said in his press conference. But when he found out why the "Izzone" was angry, he wanted to join in. But I've always gotten along with Dan, but, as you know, it seems like this year, a lot of people have been mad at me. "Thank God some of my friends are", Izzo continued.

The "Izzone" - which is Michigan State's special student section named after coach Izzo, went extra hard at Dakich. You dug your grave, now it's time to lie in it.

In MSU's recent win against the Ohio State Buckeyes University, the Izzone was able to sound off against its new public enemy No. 1, ESPN's Dan Dakich.
