Apple iPhone 8 Major Update Causes Delay

Ten years since the technology giant announced the first iPhone. Once these materials are dug up out of the Earth, at a huge cost to the environment, they often run through numerous warlords and militias where they eventually end up being sold to multinational tech companies to make your smartphone.

Dickson also suggests that the front panel - not seen in the schematic - could cover nearly the entire front of the phone, which means a non-existent or very minimal bezel. Two of those handsets, believed to be called the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, could feature only minor upgrades over last year's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, respectively.

Apple has previously committed to making sure all the waste created by its supply chain is reused, recycled, composted, or converted into energy, with 17 of the company's 18 final assembly line and 25 of Apple suppliers having achieved zero waste to landfill status since January 2015.

Apple's next iPhone could have some big design tweaks in store, if a recently leaked schematic is any indication. The people asked not to be identified discussing Apple's private testing and design plans.

Of course, one reason why Apple is doing this is the publicity that will be generated if it is able to declare iPhones and other products conflict-free. The same concept was used in iPhone 7 Plus but with a horizontal position. The new OLED screen itself is flat, while the cover glass curves into a steel frame.

Apple has a history of being one of the most environmentally conscious companies, and it's about to take those efforts a step further. There isn't a plan for how the company will accomplish that, or at least there isn't one yet. Nevertheless, this was not anymore mentioned with the current reports about iPhone 8. For now, the company is said to ship OLED panels from Samsung since others are not capable of supplying 100 million of panels to them.

Apple said that it will soon stop mining, and manufacture iPhones and iPads from only green materials.

Spokespeople for Apple and Samsung declined to comment.

According to BGR, Apple worked over several years on technology for the integration of its Touch ID fingerprint scanner under a new iPhone's display. It's now unclear if that feature will make it into the final product.

Apple is also doubling down on its existing recycling programs.

Like the iPhone 7 Plus, the new iPhone is also expected to have a dual camera system, although in the case of the iPhone 8 the two lenses may be positioned vertically instead of horizontally.
