Arsenal agree top-class signing ahead of rivals Chelsea

Schalke's Leon Goretzka- John Walton EMPICS Sport

With his Schalke contract running down, the future of defender Sead Kolasinac is up in the air, as a move to the Premier League appears to be drawing ever closer.

However, citing information from "agent sources", Reprezentacija claims the 23-year-old signed a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal "a few days ago" and has already chosen his squad number.

He has played 117 times for the German giants, and has 18 global caps to his name, and has experience playing in the Champions League. Not a bad bit of business but keep an eye out for bids from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City, two clubs also rumored to be interested in his services.

News that he has signed a new player for next season will likely anger the #WengerOut fans who have been protesting against the manager staying on, and thoughts that he is preparing the team for the new campaign will lead to thoughts that he will most certainly be staying.

Kolasinac, a regular Bosnia global, is also reported to have chosen his new squad number and was given assurances that Arsene Wenger will remain in charge, despite a disastrous run of form which has prompted increasing uncertainty over the Frenchman's future.

Kolasinac has made 31 appearances for Schalke this season, and has been involved in eight goals, scoring three and assisting the other five.

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that both Laurent Koscielny and Petr Cech could return to action at Middlesbrough.

Now, Wenger will be hoping to get his side back to winning ways at the weekend.
