Dortmund keeper still having problems sleeping after attack

Team bus

The bus, carrying Dortmund players to a Champions League game against Monaco last Tuesday, was en route when three pipe bombs planted by the roadside were detonated, damaging the bus and injuring one player and a police officer.

The team is gearing up to host Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga today, when six other league games are also to be played under heightened security.

German prosecutors have doubts about the authenticity of letters that suggested Islamist militants attacked soccer team Borussia Dortmund 's bus and a newspaper cited an investigator as saying right-wing extremists were probably behind the bomb attack.

Dortmund players got together on the pitch to pay tribute to team-mate Marc Bartra, who was injured in a bombing attack on their team bus earlier this week.

Aubameyang sent another header over the top before adding a fine finish to Dembele's throughball in the 84th minute as Dortmund broke at speed following a Frankfurt corner, and their attention will now turn to overcoming their 3-2 quarter-final deficit at Monaco.

Dortmund lost the first leg 3-2, and after the game Nuri Sahin and Roman Burki, who were both sat close to Barta when he suffered his injuries, told reporters that focussing on the game had been hard.

Afterward, Dortmund players held up a Bartra jersey in front of the Westfalenstadion's south stand, where fans chanted his name. Dortmund defender Bartra, 26, was hurt by flying glass and had to undergo a wrist operation, forcing him out of action for four weeks.

"Such emotional moments like that are simply really important".

Defenders Jedvaj and Omer Toprak cleared shots by David Alaba and Javi Martinez in rapid succession on 32 minutes.

With regulars rested for Tuesday's Champions League quarterfinal against Real Madrid, Bundesliga leader Bayern dropped points for the eighth time.

RB Leipzig tightened their grip on second place by crushing Freiburg 4-0 at the Red Bull Arena.

But Dembiray's second goal in the last minute killed any hopes of a comeback and kept Hoffenheim third, on course for automatic Champions League qualification.

Their cause was helped by defeat for fifth-placed Hertha Berlin who went down 1-0 at lowly Mainz. An own-goal by Markus Suttner and strikes from Yunus Malli and Mario Gomez gave Wolfsburg a 3-0 win home to Ingolstadt.
