Kasper Schmeichel says Leicester up for fight in Champions League

Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann in action with Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi

Roy Keane has downplayed comments made by Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare and some of the players who are confident when facing Atletico Madrid at the King Power Stadium for the second leg of their quarter final clash in the Champions League, via the Independent.

On Tuesday, the Premier League champions can expect to face a much tougher second-leg task than in the last round when, under previous manager Claudio Ranieri, they took a valuable away goal back from the 2-1 defeat in Seville.

Leicester were without captain Wes Morgan due to a back injury and his return to health will be even more important for the second leg as Robert Huth will be suspended after being booked for chopping down Griezmann.

The 26-year-old has scored 24 times in 44 games in all competitions for Madrid this season, and he's also chipped in with nine assists, proving he is one of the most risky forwards in Europe right now.

"We have to be mindful in terms of us being smart and our game management has to be good", Shakespeare added. I have seen enough throughout the squad.

If Leicester City play with the same vigour and determination they showed to take a two-goal lead against a spirited Crystal Palace on Saturday, then Atletico Madrid's defenders could be in for a trying evening tomorrow. They're also the eighth English team to make it to the last eight of the competition, more than any other country.

"I think it is a disappointing moment, a key moment".

Another fan, who said there were "about five or six big bangs", added: "On the whole it was okay, but we did scarper out quite quickly earlier on when the police chose to throw rubber bullets at us".

Atletico coach Diego Simeone recognised the difficulties of playing at the King Power and said he expects a raucous atmosphere in Leicester.

"If ever I need some advice, with the experience he's got he definitely would be one of the people I'd turn to".

Leicester go to Palace having lost their last two games - following six straight wins - with the Eagles having won five of their last six outings.

Morgan is set to return after coming through training following his back injury, although Shakespeare will leave the call until the morning of the game. "We have a few on yellows and we knew it was a tightrope. We should be pleased with a point, probably". There's a lot of pressure all the time, this year it was fighting against relegation and we came out of that.
