Monday Night BRAUN: WWE Monday Night Raw Takeaways From 4/17/17

WWE announces a new Payback match

Strowman left Reigns with a separated shoulder and cracked ribs following an attack, part of which took part in an ambulance, on last week's RAW. With The Big Show on the top rope, Strowman leapt to action and delivered a suplex to collapse the ring.

Was it all planned?

On the Raw pay-per-view, Kevin Owens will defend the WWE United States Title against Chris Jericho, with the victor staying on SmackDown.

This entire match between Strowman and Big Show was built around both men trying to superplex the other, and the crowd caught on to exactly what they were doing right from the outset.

Strowman and Reigns will likely have another solid hardcore match at Payback, but it will be a warm-up for what is to come.

The audience cheer grew manifold, during the build up of the move but nobody expected the ring to collaspe which would leave the match end in an official no victor contest.

Despite some of the problems listed here, there's more to enjoy than get frustrated at on the blue brand now, and that's largely because the show has a nice flow aided by some new faces that once again feel fresh on Tuesday nights.

Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss and Mickie James competed in it. Nia hit with a Samoan Drop to Sasha.

Neville vs. Austin Aries for the Cruiserweight Championship and The Hardys vs. Cesaro & Sheamus for the Raw tag titles are also scheduled for Payback. Check out the insane video of the match that is sure to go viral.

This culminated in a one-on-one match with "The World's Largest Athlete", The Big Show. Then further still, scariest person I've ever laid eyes on Brock Lesnar did the same thing to Show during the June 12th, 2003 episode of 'WWE Smackdown'. They were duking it out on the corner post, and Braun suplexed The Big Show, sending their combined 600 pounds crashing to the mat, tearing down the ropes and crushing the ring.
