She rocked the Tint Caresse - Tulip Blossom with this yellow pencil fit, body-hugging dress.

This is not Deepika's first Cannes outing - she had previously walked the red carpet in 2010, in a Rohit Bal sari that had as many supporters as detractors. She made a bold and handsome statement at her Cannes debut.

Deepika chose to wear the wine sheer dress with Jimmy Choo heels and De Grisogono jewellery.

Three Bollywood divas are expected at the Cannes 2017 red carpet - Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan.

The festival lasts for 11 days, which means that there's plenty opportunity for red carpet glamour.
