Fox Unveils New Trailer For 'The Gifted'

Damiola Our Loved Boy and Happy Valley lead BAFTA winners

Marvel's The Gifted definitely looks like it's going to be a very intriguing addition to the X-Men television lineup alongside Legion, though it appears to be a very different kind of show.

The Gifted is the newest installment in Singer's venture onto the small screen.

L-R: Percy Hynes White, Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker and Natalie Alyn Lind in THE GIFTED premiering this fall on FOX. The show, which will air on FOX, is based on Marvel Comics' X-Men properties. Perhaps this is because Bryan Singer himself is filming the pilot episode, but whatever the reason, it's clear that Fox wants The Gifted to fit snugly into the existing X-movie style guide.

"Two ordinary parents take their family on the run from the government when they discover that their children have mutant abilities, and join an underground community of mutants who have to fight to survive."
Its crew, both human and alien, faces the wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the familiar, often humorous problems of regular people in a workplace. The series stars MacFarlane as the ship's commanding officer and Adrianne Palicki as his ex-wife, who's assigned as his first officer.

"Ghosted" will air on Sundays as part of Fox's comedy block, in between "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy". The comedy is executive produced by Robinson, Scott, Naomi Scott, Kevin Etten, Tom Gormican, Jonathan Krisel, Oly Obst, and Mark Schulman, with Gormican and Etten writing and Krisel directing. It's an X-Men story with a classic on-the-run TV premise. With Bryan Singer behind this series, ties to X-Men, and realistic portrayals of teens messing with their powers this new drama could be a hit for the network. The next season of The X-Files will be held as a mid-season debut.
