Jodie Sweetin's ex Justin Hodak jailed for six years

Jodie Sweetin

Jodie Sweetin's ex-fiancé Justin Hodak could face over six years in prison, PEOPLE confirms.

While appearing in court in Van Nuys, California, the 35-year-old Fuller House star's ex pleaded "no contest" on the count of possession of a deadly weapon and "no contest" on the count of falsifying evidence by threatening a witness with either force or implied force.

He is not permitted to own or possess any deadly or unsafe weapons, and at his next court hearing - scheduled for May 12 - Hodak must submit proof that he has relinquished his 9mm semiautomatic gun to the Los Angeles Police Department.

He was found guilty on both felony charges and immediately sentenced to five years of formal probation, 120 days in county jail, 52 weeks of diversion classes and 60 days of electronic monitoring via ankle bracelet, says Risling.

Valparaiso Receives Invitation To Join The Missouri Valley Conference
Valpo, which now is a member of the Horizon League, is expected to accept the invitation and officially join the MVC on July 1. Tickets for the 2017 MVC Softball Championship are on sale now through the Illinois State Athletics Ticket Office.

In March alone, Hodak was arrested three separate times due to unsettling incidents involving his former fiancée. The authorities found a firearm at Sweetin's property that belonged to Hodak, who was previously convicted on felony charges.

Sweetin claimed Hodak was also under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time and became physically violent.

After their split and Hodak's arrests, Sweetin took to Instagram to thank her fans for their support during the hard time with a sweet photo of herself and her two daughters, Zoie and Beatrix.

Days after Sweetin was granted the restraining order, Hodak was arrested and charged with violating the order after he was seen by police driving in front of her Los Angeles home.
