Michael Flynn and other campaign staffers made multiple calls to Russians

Members of the Trump campaign and Russian officials were in contact on at least 18 occasions in the final seven months of last year's presidential campaign, according to a trove of emails and phone calls. Do you think they need to tone it down?

Reuters notes that after Pence's comments, campaign and White House officials confirmed four meetings between Trump advisors and ambassador Kislyak.

While Reuters' sources said these contacts don't show any illegal collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, these new findings are just more smoke in the air that make it harder to believe we just have yet to find the fire. Current and former officials familiar with the calls and emails told Reuters that six of the contacts were phone calls between former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and Russia's ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak.

New search for clues launched about missing boy
Detectives said Wednesday that Andressian Sr. had taken prescription drugs the night he was found passed out, CBS LA reported. He was last seen wearing a turquoise shirt and plaid shorts or a gray-and-white-striped shirt with gray sweatpants.

Reports also now seem to confirm that multiple conversations between Flynn and Kislyak took place, where they discussed ways in which they could set up a direct back channel between Trump and Putin in order to avoid the "hostile" usa national security bureaucracy.

In November 2016, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Russian media that their government had ongoing communications with the Trump campaign during the presidential race. Hell, by now, Trump's posse has probably had more contact with Russia's government than Trump has with his daughter Tiffany. In Moscow, a Russian foreign ministry official declined to comment on the contacts and referred Reuters to the Trump administration. The meeting was arranged by the United Arab Emirates and took place in the Seychelles islands, The Washington Post reports. It was not clear with whom he spoke but the sources said the topics discussed were also about improving US-Russian cooperation.

Paul Joseph Watson, editor-at-large of one of Trump's favorite websites, InfoWars, used that sentence to dismiss the entire Trump-Russia investigation as the "witch hunt" Trump himself called it in a Thursday morning tweet. Flynn had discussed easing USA sanctions against Russian Federation with the ambassador. The U.S. Justice Department announced Wednesday that former FBI Director Robert Mueller had been appointed as special counsel to investigate alleged Russian tampering in the 2016 presidential campaign and the possible collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia. -Russian economic relations. Russian officials said they wanted to take a more business-like approach to deal making and focus less on hot-button issues that have cooled relations between the nations in the last few years. On May 9, he fired FBI Director James Comey for his alleged incompetence, but critics said that Trump was actually getting rid of him because he was investigating the president's ties to Russian Federation and wanted more money to do so. The official added "General Flynn was the person closest to [Trump] on national-security matters".
