Rolf Harris walks out of prison tomorrow says judge

Rolf Harris to be released from prison

"The defendant, Rolf Harris, is to be released from HM prison in Stafford tomorrow on May 19", she said.

Jurors have already been told Mr Harris, 87, was convicted and sentenced following a trial in 2014.

Rolf Harris is set to be freed on bail from a British prison on Friday, before facing court next week in relation to allegations of groping teenage girls.

So far, the former TV presenter had been attending his trial via video link, meaning he will appear in person for the remainder of the trial, upon his release.

Harris is accused of indecently assaulting three teenage girls in the 1970s and 1980s.

The former TV entertainer denies four charges of indecent assault between 1971 and 1983.

ROLF Harris was known as "groper Rolf" by the family of a woman who says he assaulted her when she was 16, a London court heard.

The jury of seven women and five men has been told Harris was due to be released on Friday, and an application for bail relating to his ongoing trial had been approved.

The woman, who is now in her mid-50s, told Southwark Crown Court the Australian entertainer groped her at a celebrity event in Cambridge in England in 1978.

"One of the reasons perhaps it was easier for me to tell police is because I had told people over the years".

Asked by Mr Rees if she was an "attention seeker", the witness replied: "I can not imagine how anyone would conceive of doing this for any sort of kick".

But the woman said she later told friends and family about the incident whenever Harris' name came up or he appeared on television.

She was at a table of refreshments to get a drink when Harris approached her and assaulted her, the court heard.

"I looked up and as I did he slid his right hand under my breast and said to me, 'Do you often get molested on a Saturday morning?'"

The judge told jurors: "I just want to inform you that we will not be sitting on this case tomorrow".

"I was in shock because I couldn't comprehend really what had just happened".

"I told him to f*** off and leave me alone", she told the court.
