Trump talk with Russians 'wholly appropriate,' adviser says

Vladimir Putin is inaugurated for his first term as president of Russian Federation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to help President Donald Trump out: He says he'll give Congress records of that controversial meeting Trump had with Russian envoys.

Speaking at a news conference in Sochi, Russia, Putin scoffed at allegations that Trump had shared top-secret security intelligence with the diplomats as "political schizophrenia".

Trump revealed the name of the city in the Islamic State's territory where the threat was detected, information so sensitive that The Post refrained from publishing because officials familiar with the matter warned the paper that such information would jeopardize future intelligence operations. Putin even suggested that Russian Federation share the records of last week's talks between Trump and Lavrov with the U.S. Congress, if the White House approved. The Senate Intelligence Committee has demanded a briefing on what transpired at the meeting from members of the Trump administration who attended. The new details about their concerns come amid mounting questions about whether Trump himself has been careless with the nation's secrets.

Last week, the president fired Comey, who had been overseeing the FBI's ongoing investigation into whether Trump's campaign played a role in Russia's election meddling.

The administration spent the first half of Tuesday defending Trump's disclosure of classified information to senior Russian officials.

"The last person Trump needs to vouch for him right now is Vladimir Putin", Schiff said in an interview with CBS News. "I get great intel". The former USA officials requested anonymity in order to discuss the handling of classified information.

The revelations sent a White House accustomed to chaos reeling anew and drew rare serious criticism of the president from some Republicans.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) said: "If these reports are true, the president's brazen attempt to shut down the FBI's investigation of Michael Flynn is an assault on the rule of law that is fundamental to our democracy.

It was reinforced, yet again, when President Trump and I met on the Intrepid in NY just a few days ago".

"The premise of that article is false that in any way the President had a conversation that was inappropriate or that resulted in any kind of lapse in national security".

The panel's top Democrat, Elijah Cummings of Maryland, a constant Trump critic, called the allegation of Trump pressure on Comey "explosive" and said "it appears like a textbook case of criminal obstruction of justice".

Yatom, who led the Mossad, Israel's spy agency, from 1996-1998, said: "The source might be under very serious danger and a outcome may be that the friendly country will stop conveying such sensitive information to the United States". "This is really not nice of him", Putin joked, laughing with Lavrov, who was also at the conference.

But he then took a more serious tone, accusing Americans of "rocking the internal political situation in the USA under anti-Russian slogans". "Either they don't understand the damage they're doing to their own country, in which case they are simply stupid, or they understand everything, in which case they are unsafe and corrupt".
