America's Cup challenger final series: Team New Zealand v Artemis

Team New Zealand has snatched the lead in it's America's Cup challenger final duel, after Artemis' helmsman fell overboard in the third and final race.

The victor will challenge holders Oracle Team USA for the oldest trophy in worldwide sport in the Louis Vuitton America's Cup Match starting on June 17. But in the final race of the day, Burling got the better start and barely looked back as he left Ainslie in his wake.

"We were definitely a bit under-prepared for those conditions", Barker said.

"Given the fatal accident involving a British sailor, Andrew "Bart" Simpson, in a similar - albeit larger - foiling America's Cup catamaran four years ago, the sailing world held its breath".

"These boats are so tough to sail, they're on the edge the whole time and there's a lot of respect amongst sailors amongst how hard that is".

Burling said the capsize "was fully our error" as the boat accelerated and got high on its foils.

Getting an America's Cup boat on the water, let alone competing with Oracle Team USA and Artemis Racing, which are both backed by billionaires, costs tens of millions of dollars. The teams will also alternate their side of entry, with Softbank Team Japan and Land Rover BAR choosing a port-tack entry for their first starts of the day.

Trump Not Under Investigation In Russia Probe, Says Lawyer
The message apparently referred to Rosenstein, whose role leading the federal investigation has become increasingly complicated. The panel sent a bipartisan letter this month to White House counsel Don McGahn seeking an answer by this Friday.

"Already the work is starting on the next campaign. and we will be that much stronger next time", he vowed. The other two join Groupama Team France on the sidelines.

BAR were awarded the race win as a result of the incident.

Today is nearly exactly three years since the British team officially launched their long-term challenge to bring the Cup home to British waters for the first time since the inuagural event in 1851 - 166 years ago - when it was held off the Isle of Wight.

He said the boat had just rounded the downwind mark and gotten on the wind when there was a "big crunching sound coming out of the wing".

Ainslie, 40, one of the world's most accomplished sailors, hoped to become the first Englishman to hoist the Auld Mug in victory.

With the Swedish team hampered, New Zealand capitalised to claim the lead.

The four-time Olympic gold medallist saw his Land Rover BAR team lose 5-2 to New Zealand - who recovered from a capsize on Tuesday to advance to the challenger final.
