Pakistan's record-breaking 180-run win over arch-rivals and title-holders India in the Champions Trophy final at The Oval on Sunday completed a remarkable turnaround for Sarfraz Ahmed's side in the space of just a few weeks.

India, who launched their title-defence with a 124-run thrashing of Pakistan, were unchanged from the side that hammered Bangladesh by nine wickets in Thursday's semi-final at Birmingham's Edgbaston.

India, who beat Pakistan by five runs in the Twenty20 final 10 years ago, have been lifted by the outstanding batting form of Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma.

Put into bat, the Men in Green had a flawless start as both Azhar Ali and Zaman shared a 128-run opening stand to put their team on road of a massive first innings-score.

Batsman Fakhar Zaman hit a spectacular century, scoring 114 runs, and Mohammad Hafeez added 57 to help Pakistan to a total of 338 runs for four wickets from its 50 overs.

It is only the second century stand for Pakistan against India in any ICC ODI tournament.

"Players like Fakhar Zaman, Shadab [Khan], Hasan Ali, all these players deserve to be recognised for their performances; that they were playing their first ICC tournament and nobody expected us to perform the way we did with a young team". "I mean, 25 extras is a bit too much in a game like that, and that s something that we certainly need to take care of in the future".

Uber CEO could have to take a leave of absence
One Uber investor said the board's decisions were a step in the right direction, giving the firm an "opportunity to reboot". Perkins Coie said there are 31 employees in counseling or training, while seven received written warnings from the company.

Pakistan, who had lost all three of their previous matches against India in the knockout stages of International Cricket Council tournaments and started this event the lowest ranked of all the eight teams taking part, were now on the brink of a sensational win.

Then one ball after Kohli, the world's leading ODI batsman, was dropped at slip off Amir, the bowler had him caught at point by Shadab Khan.

Bottom-ranked Pakistan produced a breathtaking display at London's Oval on Sunday in the climax of a tournament featuring the world's top eight one-day global nations. There was no realistic way back and they eventually folded to 158 all out in 30.3 overs. We tried our best to hit good areas but they just batted really well today.

The last time Pakistani openers scored more than 100 runs prior to the fall of the first wicket in two consecutive matches was in 2003. Despite Hardik Pandya's 76 from 43 deliveries down the order, India could not rebuild after Amir's brilliance, and were beaten by 180 runs.

"They were more intense and passionate today, they deserved to win".

Talking about team changes - Mohammad Amir returned to replace debutant Rumman Raees while the Indian squad remained unchanged.
