Cristiano Ronaldo interested in Manchester United return

Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo's future in Spain is under significant doubt after a series of events unfolded this past week. The 32-year-old wants to leave Real and has already informed his decision to his current employers.

Earlier this week, Real Madrid megastar Cristiano Ronaldo seemed to shrug off the accusations made by a Spanish prosecutor that he used a shell company to hide $16.5 million in unpaid taxes from 2011 to 2014.

Well, the 32-year-old forward could be set to leave Real Madrid this summer with BBC Football reporting that the 2016 Ballon d'Or victor is "upset" after being accused of tax fraud and wants to leave Spain.

Whilst remaining calm with the situation, Ronaldo expressed his concerns with Spanish fans who have recently been booing him.

Less than two weeks after Cristiano Ronaldo inspired them to feeling on top of the world, Real Madrid were brought back down to earth with a bang by Friday's front page of Portuguese sports paper A Bola.

Cristiano Ronaldo is in the spotlight again, but this time not for his skills as a player.

Real Madrid issued a statement fully supporting the player, claiming they were "absolutely convinced of his innocence", but Ronaldo is unsatisfied with the club over their attempts to defend him on the matter.

According to Italian football expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, Ronaldo has told his agent, Jorge Mendes, to do "everything he can" to make the move a reality. "The club has been very important in his career". Ronaldo famously left Old Trafford back in 2009 for a then World Record £80m after having won his first European title and Balon d'Or award the previous year.

Paris Saint-Germain could rival Manchester United in the battle to acquire CR7's signature.

The big splash in Marca on Sunday was that Zinedine Zidane had called Ronaldo late last week and was, hopefully a key factor from a Real Madrid perspective, in keeping the Portuguese superstar at the Bernabeu.
