Cristiano Ronaldo transfer rumours rubbished by Bayern Munich chief

Cristiano Ronaldo

Not something you see that often.

. Sorry to crush the hope of all those Manchester United fans.

The Portuguese star wants out of Real Madrid after the club distanced themselves from his tax probe. For the return of Cristiano at old Trafford Manchester United ready to pay record amount in the history of football.

The rumor that Ronaldo could move to Bayern, there is no reason.

The Bundesliga champions posted a reply on their official website titled "Hoax of the Day" as speculation grows that the Portuguese star is set to quit Spain this summer over what he feels is unfair treatment by the country's tax authorities.

Predictably, this has caused a huge buzz amongst the media, and Ronaldo is now being linked with moves around Europe - one of which was Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich have dismissed rumours of interest in Cristiano Ronaldo, with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge calling them "completely unfounded".

Mark Lovell covers Bayern Munich for ESPN FC. Digital technology means news is spread with great speed, but sometimes stories come out that are simply not true.

"Subsequently, this rumour was also taken up by numerous German media".

'We're used to being the subject of intense transfer speculation during transfer windows, ' he said in a statement.

"As a rule we do not comment on these rumours but now in the case of Cristiano Ronaldo we want to make it clear once and for all that this rumour lacks any foundation and must be confined to the realm of fables".

It's clear that Ronaldo has a lot of admiration for Bayern's coach Carlo Ancelotti, but they definitely they won't be working together next season.
