Diego Costa says he isn't wanted at Chelsea anymore

Chelsea troubled striker Diego Costa has leaked that he's not in Antonio Conte's plan next season.

Costa has said he would like to return to his former club Atletico Madrid but the Spanish outfit has been banned from signing players until January due to transfer rule breaches.

But Costa appears undeterred and seems open to moving elsewhere for six months to facilitate a switch back to Spain.

He added: "I have a contract with Chelsea for two years".

"I haven't spoken to Chelsea yet but they know I'm focusing on this tournament so the discussions will happen after", he said. "If I sign for Atlético it doesn't mean that I won't be able to play, I can still be loaned to another team weather it is Spain, Italy, Brazil or wherever it may be", he told Onda Cero.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa looks set to leave the club this window. It's a World Cup year and there's a lot to think about.

Costa has publicly expressed his desire to return to Atletico, whom he departed for Chelsea in 2014, but the La Liga side are banned from signing new players until 2018.

May to form minority 'government of certainty'
Thursday's vote was the second of two moves by the Conservatives that spurred unexpected periods of uncertainty and instability. Being the first party in the House, she doubtless has the constitutional right to try to form a government.

AC Milan have also been linked with a move for Costa, while the Brazilian-born Spain worldwide has rejected the idea of a move to China, as it would jeopardise his hopes of playing in the World Cup.

Costa's relationship with Conte broke down over the course of last season, coming to a head during a training ground bust up with his fitness coach, in January.

Costa would slot straight into Milan's starting XI, meaning he'd have a guarantee of playing time, which is what matters most to him, and he'd also be the main man at a time looking to make quick progress.

For Costa, he didn't mince his words when asked about Conte's decision to let him know via a text that his future did not belong at Chelsea. The board were said to have been less than thrilled that Conte sent Costa packing without having discussed it with them first, and more so still that Costa repaid him by going public.

How much will Chelsea miss Diego Costa next season? The coach does not want to have problems with their most important players, but there is a certain way of doing things. I forward the text to Chelsea people.

He added: 'To be honest, now, I find it very hard.
