Draymond Green: Bob Myers doesn't get the credit he deserves

Draymond Green Quickie Shirt

A fact that amused James.

Green said the shirt was inspired by Golden State's five-game dismissal of the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

"I can't forget the Ultimate Warrior t-shirt a year ago from LeBron or the 3-1 tombstone cookies", Green told NBC Bay Area during Thursday's championship rally.

LeBron James reminded Green of who really started the super team era. "I just feel like it's great that on the day that you're celebrating your championship my likeness and my name is in your head". The Golden State Warriors forward was enjoying his team's National Basketball Association championship parade Thursday, but he found time to troll the newly bald James.

Heading into the weekend, Wade said he previously spoke to King James about losing his hair. And in "96, when Jordan was retired, the Rockets joined Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler all on the same team". Towards its conclusion, Green got on a mic and started talking smack about James and "superteams".

Competitors. Champions. Frenemies. The unending troll battle between Draymond Green and Lebron James has become the sport's goofiest sideshow.

But Green also couldn't resist firing off a comeback of his own inspired by James' new look, a cleanly shaven head. Green's comments on Thursday directly addressed James' response during a press conference Monday after his team fell to their NBA Finals challengers.

Fast forward not quite 365 days, and Draymond Green got his not-so-subtle revenge on LeBron/the Cavs for besting them in the re-rematch.

That would have been slightly more appropriate had the Warriors swept in four games, beating the Cavs in Cleveland last Friday, but they did not.

James wore an "Ultimate Warrior" t-shirt during last year's Cavaliers championship parade. Those numbers are actually more impressive than what he did during the 2016 Finals when the Cavaliers won, as James averaged 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game on 49.4% shooting during that series. It's fine. The fans take that, and the media make it a whole bunch.
