Finn replaces injured Woakes in England squad

Fast bowler Steven Finn admits that he will use his call-up to England's Champions Trophy squad to prove a point that he should be a regular pick.

England won the toss at the bright and picturesque The Oval and sent Bangladesh into bat with the announcement that they had dropped Adil Rashid in favour of a pace attack.

Woakes was ruled out of the rest of the tournament when he suffered a side strain during England's tournament opener against Bangladesh.

Hales and Root combined for 159, and if Bangladesh thought they had finally made the breakthrough they was brought back to earth by Morgan, who settled in very quickly.

The likeliest replacement is Finn, who was considered unlucky to have missed out on original selection for the squad, in spite of his occasionally erratic form in recent months.

"He's obviously been very impressive for us over the last couple of years and a mainstay, a very reliable guy, and it is a worry when he goes off the field and can't come back on and bowl", said Morgan. Liam Plunkett finished the match with figures of 4-59 and Stokes and Jake Ball each claimed a wicket apiece. He combined for 166 with Mushfiqur Rahim, who was out for 79 straight after Tamim departed.

Plunkett will not be shying away from the task in front of him.

Van Gundy dismisses the 'Kardashian curse'
She says that she reached out to the Good American team but did not hear back from them about her concerns. Other members of the Kardashian family were also there, including Kourtney and Kris Jenner .

"The biggest thing for them was because the wicket was so good they struggled to make inroads into England's batting line-up".

Bangladesh scored 305 runs in allotted fifty overs.

"It was quite smart, bowling a slow ball, and courageous. a big gamble".

England began their run chase with the worst possible start. Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza said his team had failed to score enough runs in favourable conditions.

Any Bangladesh hopes that that wicket might derail England were soon forgotten as Eoin Morgan came in and started confidently.

The wash-out against NZ means a loss could also be a tournament-ending blow to the Aussies, who faced a similarly perilous situation here four years ago when their lost their first match to England and saw their game against the Black Caps also ruined by rain. The soft signal by the umpires was not out which infuriated Iqbal.

Tamim top-edged Plunkett and was caught behind, and Mushfiqur was caught on the boundary. Both Root and Morgan (75* off 61 balls) went on to ease their side to victory with an unbeaten stand of 143.
