Nurse Killed in London Bridge Terror Attack 'Ran Towards Danger'

Australian Kirsty Boden is feared to be one of the London terror attack victims.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says the families are on their way to London and have asked for privacy.

According to the document, Sydney has been in close contact with all the victim's families.

Last night the family of South Australian nurse Kirsty Boden confirmed she the first Australian victim of the attack.

Melissa McMullan described her brother as "an inspiration" adding: "While our pain will never diminish, it is important for us all to carry on with our lives in direct opposition to those who wish to destroy us, and remember that hatred is the refuge of small-minded individuals and will only breed more".

They added: "We are so proud of Kirsty's courageous actions which demonstrate how selfless, caring and heroic she was, not only on that night, but throughout all of her life".

"Sara Zelenak is confirmed dead they found her body and has DNA tests confirmed thank you for all the overwhelming love and support from everyone".

Prince Harry earlier joined those paying tribute to Ms Zelenak and Kirsty Boden.

Her family had been bracing for the worst after appealing for information in a Facebook post shared hundreds of times on Monday, saying she usually rang her mother daily.

Sara, from Brisbane, Australia, almost attended the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester that was targeted by suicide bomber Salman Abedi last month.

Ms Zelenak's mother Julie Wallace told Brisbane radio station 97.3FM she and her husband had been looking forward to travelling to the United Kingdom to see their daughter.

So far four people from three different countries are confirmed to be among the seven victims of the attacks.

The other three missing since the attack are 36-year-old French chef Sebastien Belanger, 21-year-old Australian Sara Zelenak and 39-year-old Spanish banker Ignacio Echeverria.

In a statement, Ms Boden's family expressed how "proud" they were of the "selfless, caring and heroic" nurse who "loved to help people".

"Every death is a tragedy but this particular event seems to touch us in a particular way - a country girl from South Australia dying in an act of global terrorism seems to reach into every single one of our homes".

A friend of Ms Boden, 28, confirmed to Fairfax Media she was in London and was thought to be working as a nurse.

Ms Zelenak was leaving the bar London Grind, near the bridge, with her friend Pri Gonçalves when they heard the van crash and saw people running from the carnage.

Local newspapers said the man lived in London and worked in Boro Bistro, a Breton-run restaurant in Borough Market.

"It doesn't surprise me that if there was a situation where someone was in need that she wouldn't jump in and do that at her own expense".

The hospital said her colleagues have been informed of her death and were being supported during this "extremely hard and distressing time".
