Person of Interest in BET Weekend Robbery

Lil' Kim may have come to L.A. this weekend to have fun at the annual BET Awards, but according to news reports, the Queen Bee has landed in some legal trouble in the last few days over accusations that she might have caused a robbery over a house rental that went wrong.

This is not her first run in with the law - Kim, born Kimberly Denise Jones, did jail time in 2005.

The Brooklyn-born Grammy victor is reportedly being eyed by the Los Angeles Police Department as a person of interest after her crew allegedly lifted a deposit check and cash worth $20,000 from a home Kim had rented - and then bailed on - for the night. The property owner refused and the group began to argue. However, soon after Kim and her entourage left the house, an armed group in ski masks arrived at about 4 a.m. and used force to take away Kim's deposit check and cash worth about $20,000. Law enforcement authorities are saying that the robbers also slashed tires and stole a hubcap before they left.

Kim worked with Mobb Deep on their remix for 1999's Quiet Storm, '.

The LAPD has reportedly launched a robbery investigation.

She was found to have lied to investigators about her involvement in a shooting incident in which one man, Efrain Ocasio, sustained a gunshot wound in the back.

The star testified not to have known they were at the scene but was caught on camera footage with exiting the building with the accused. She demanded her deposit back, but was told that was not happening.
