Possible Date Set For Conor McGregor And Floyd Mayweather Fight

Whether the date is August 26 or another night that works, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor are inching closer to making their boxing match official. "Both sides have been working hard on this".

The potential August 26 date for the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight could be off the table due to a request by Mayweather Promotions. The request still could be made during a meeting of the NAC set for Wednesday in Las Vegas.

Where: MGM Grand Garden Arena, 217 Audrie St, Las Vegas, NV 89109, United States of America (map).

The potential match between Mayweather and McGregor is expected to be one of the richest prize fights in boxing history. But the UFC and McGregor have made T-Mobile Arena their home.

However, as news of this August 26th date spread, Mayweather Promotions reportedly verbally retracted the request, but that could change again before tomorrow morning's meeting.

Nigeria constitutes part of the global community with 1.5 billion people affected in conflicts, violence and fragility. Of this figure, over 168 million people who are engaged in child labour live in areas affected by strife.

"If that's the date they're going to fight, I'm pretty sure that's going to be a good date for the fight", The young pugilist Newman said.

With what was believed to be another major hurdle being cleared, uncertainty is now creeping in as Mayweather's demands could come into play while negotiations are also run by his powerful manager, Al Haymon.

It appears the fight is edging ever closer, and McGregor's latest comments hint that he is ready to step into the ring in just two months' time. Mayweather suggested the fight could be competitive a few weeks back.

Mayweather's May 2015 fight against Manny Pacquiao crushed multiple boxing financial records, including Pay Per View (PPV) buys ($4.6 million), total gate ($73 million) and sponsorships ($13 million). "It's an event, and nobody wants to miss an event".

McGregor also took another swipe at the American on Instagram on Monday, posting a photo of Mayweather in the gym alongside a cheeky caption.
