Premier League 2017-18 fixtures released, Chelsea begin title defence at Burnley

Leicester, Arsenal, Chelsea, Stoke, Everton and Burnley all have hard early season fixtures, but which Premier League teams has the toughest start?

City's opening game of the season sees them travel to Brighton in what will be The Seagulls' first-ever Premier League game after their promotion in April.

After our opening run of fixtures last season, we can't expect a much tougher opening round of games this year!

"Who cares? You play everybody twice whatever happens..." is the usual crying call from many at around 8:45am on the morning the Premier League fixtures drop.

City begin their festive fixtures at home to Bournemouth on December 23, before travelling to newly-promoted Newcastle United on Boxing Day.

Liverpool then take on Arsenal and Manchester City [A] while the first Manchester United game sees them head to Old Trafford in mid-October after the global break.

In the end of season run-in, Chelsea play Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the penultimate round of fixtures, and United host Arsenal the weekend before on April 28.

After Burnley, the season truly ramps up with a visit to Three Point Lane Wembley to take on Spurs.

The third opponent that we fare well against at home is Stoke City, in 6 home games, we've won 4, losing 1.

Spurs' games face further problems because of conflicting demands at Wembley and the club immediately announced that their home game with Burnley on 26 August would have to be rescheduled because it clashes with the Rugby League Challenge Cup final.

It looks like an extremely hard end to the season for Premier League newbies Huddersfield Town.

Christmas also looks favourable as United have two home games against Burnley and Southampton before taking on Everton at Goodison Park on New Years Day.

Arsene Wenger's side will form part of a testing double header for Liverpool, who will face Manchester City in their first game of September.
