Putin denies relationship with former NSA Michael Kelly

The officials say there's been no final decision and the matter remains under discussion.

A secret line with Russia could have allowed the Trump transition team and Russian officials to communicate outside of the scrutiny of the departing Obama administration. The issue has become a centerpiece of the questions swirling around Trump and his campaign and possible ties to Russian Federation.

Putin also said it could have been the Central Intelligence Agency behind the hacking. Flynn, who was already advising the Trump campaign at the time, was paid $45,000 to speak at the event.

Putin insisted that he and Donald Trump "don't know each other", but that he views him as "a straight-forward, honest man", one that "you can't really classify... as a traditional politician".

Does Putin have damaging information on Trump?

In an interview with Megyn Kelly, Vladimir Putin revealed such statements.

“Had there been anything significant he would have reported it to the minister. “There werent even any reports. "And out of this sensation, you turned it into a weapon of war against the current (US) president", Putin said.

President Putin explained that "hackers can be anywhere" and even went so far as to suggest it could have taken place within the United States.

No proof on collusion with Russians, tweets Donald Trump
The US intelligence community says that Russian Federation played a role in the US presidential election held last November. There are many other matters to pursue in the Russian Federation probe.

He had similar dismissive answers to Kelly's questions about Michael Flynn, Trump's national security adviser who was sacked after a brief stint in the White House. That seemed to confirm what US intelligence services have been saying all along.

'I made my speech. He also alleged that the USA actively interferes with electoral campaigns of other countries. And I got up and left. That's it. You and I met up yesterday evening. He was involved in some things. "He used to be in the security services", Mr Putin said. "You and I, you and I personally, have a much closer relationship than I had with Mr. Flynn", Putin told Kelly.

One of the most vehement denials during the interview, however, came when Kelly asked about a slew of meetings between members of the Trump campaign and Russia's ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak. Here, she cited a number of cyber-hacking tools that US intelligence has identified as having been used by Russian operatives. "What fingerprints or hoof-prints or horn-prints, what are you talking about?" he asked.

Flynn has declined to testify to the US Senate Intelligence Committee about his Russian ties, invoking his constitutional right to avoid self-incrimination. The two have spoken several times by phone since Trump's election. Putin also argued that the United States has done plenty of work interfering with the elections of other countries.

Speaking at Russia's annual showcase economic forum in Saint Petersburg on Friday, Putin slammed accusations that Moscow meddled in the election.

Russian President Vladimir Putin claims of having limited interaction with former US National Security Adviser Michael Flynn at a 2015 Moscow dinner, the media reported.

A day after referring to hackers as "artists" who are creative in their work and choose their targets according to their mood, Putin said they could be anywhere. In this respect, Putin says that how one could conclude any type of compromising information or comments between them who never met before and even talked to each other.
