Shadow of the Tomb Raider concept art teases Lara's next adventure

Antonio Aakeel lands Adventurous Role in Hollywood's Tomb Raider

We'll bring more news on Shadow of the Tomb Raider as it becomes available.

We remind you that Shadow of the Tomb Raider (title not yet official) should be developed by Eidos Montreal and not by Crystal Dynamics (the latter team would be in fact now involved with the game of the Avengers).

Lara's next excursion was first uncovered past year through a developer's laptop on a Montreal subway.

According to Kotaku, the description from a cached version of the page reads, "Through sketches and renders, we explored varying concepts for the Shadow of the Tomb Raider logo and key art".

The leaked artwork is apparently from TAKEOFF Creative, a marketing studio that has a history working with Square Enix.

As far as new information, there isn't a ton to go on from the these assets.

There's no telling when we will see the alleged Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but given that it has been nearly two years since Rise of the Tomb Raider, roughly the same amount of time that passed from the release of the 2013 reboot, you'd think that an announcement of some kind should be inbound relatively soon. The art doesn't seem to be specific enough to indicate a particular setting for Shadow.

What do you expect from the next game in the Tomb Raider franchise? I was surprised Shadow of the Tomb Raider didn't appear at E3 last week, but in any case, I think it's safe to say it'll come eventually.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider has not been officially announced and does not a release window at this time. Let us know in the comments.
