Sony fires at Xbox with arsenal of big PS4 games

PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Is Coming To Xbox And Only Xbox James Mitchell

"During this weekend's E3 events, Microsoft revealed the name and price of its secretive 'Project Scorpio" game console. Project no more. The Xbox One X is launching on november 7, 2017 worldwide.

Sales of Xbox consoles now remain significantly behind those of the newer PlayStation models, which rumours suggest may be set to receive a price cut at Sony's E3 announcement on Monday. It upscales every game to 4K UHD unlike the previous version Xbox One S. Our two favorite games shown at the Xbox event were Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Origins and EA's Anthem - both looked stunning in 4K on the Xbox One X, but they'll also be available on the PlayStation.

The upcoming release is going to be smaller than other Xbox One models, and it will present a sleek and minimalist black design.

Microsoft's latest console is part of an effort to gain ground against Sony's PlayStation 4.

No 4K TV? No problem - the console has a new technology called super sampling to boost graphics on HD TVs, Microsoft confirmed.

Microsoft's shiny new Xbox One X will be out later this year and one of the early titles will appropriately be an exclusive game: Forza Motorsport 7. The Xbox One X packs a huge 12GB GDDR5 RAM; of which 3GB is reserved for the system and 9GB is dedicated to games. Upgrading to a system that will make many of my games look better is a no-brainer. According to Julien, the game runs at a dynamic resolution on Xbox One X that adjusts resolution depending on the rendering load.

Microsoft's Xbox One X is set to compete with Sony's PlayStation 4 PRO game console for the 4K HDR gaming. The former are coming to PCs this year, but there's no word on Xbox One X support just yet.

Microsoft is once again making the same mistakes, not working on first party studios but throwing money at the third party for "launch exclusives".

Game play on 4K screens, whether on televisions or personal computer monitors, is expected to be among themes at E3 this week. We know the console will support VR at some point in 2018, so why not mention it at the show?

Hot off the back of its E3 press conference and the news that PS4 sales have now hit 60.4m worldwide, analyst firm IHS Markit now expects Sony's unstoppable console to hit 69m units by the end of the year. There's no word on a release date or price for Hyperkin's Duke controller for Xbox One, but we could possibly expect it sometime around the Xbox One X launch. It also offers an immersive audio experience that puts you in the center of spatial sound.
