Caitlyn Jenner Is the Latest Celeb to Contemplate a Political Career

Caitlyn Jenner reveals big political aspirations bashes Democrats and Sharia law

"The political side of it has always been very intriguing to me", Jenner told "The Cats Roundtable" on 970 AM-N.Y. of her campaign for transgender rights and equality for the LGBTQ community.

Caitlyn Jenner has her eye on a new career goal, running for US Senate. "And we are in the process of determining that", she said.

In June, USA TODAY reported on Jenner's political views and her on-again, off-again relationship with Trump.

In 2016, the former Olympic champion attended the Republican National Convention, where she joked about the alleged contradiction between her political beliefs and gender status.

She continued, asking, 'Can I do a better job from the outside?

French President Emmanuel Macron says his glamorous Paris charm offensive on new friend Donald Trump might have changed the USA president's mind on climate change. In the summer of 2016 Jenner attended the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, where she spoke at an event supporting LGBT rights.

California Senate incumbent Dianne Feinstein, who turned 84 in June, has not said whether she plans to seek re-election in 2018. Kind of working the perimeter of the political scene, being open to talk to anybody? If she did run and win, though, Jenner would become the first openly transgender senator. "If I believe I can't, either by health or any other way, I won't, but as long as I believe I can, I will", Feinstein said.

Jenner running probably won't change the broader perception of the party amongst LGBT voters; only 21 percent of polled LGBT Americans lean Republican or identity as Republican. "If we can do that and change the perception that they are for equality for everybody along with conservative values, economically", Jenner said. "Give the people of this country the freedom to go out into the workforce without tons and tons and tons of regulations".

"He did a lot of very, very good things and it's not like I just want to throw that away", she added.

'And I got a voice and they'd better listen, because I will come after them, ' she added.
