Camilla and Charles appear in new photo to mark Duchess' 70th birthday

An official portrait of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall has been unveiled, ahead of Camilla's 70th birthday on Monday. To celebrate the occasion, she has hosted not one, but two birthday parties.

Camilla was initially blamed by some for Diana's unhappiness as she complained publicly about Camilla's continuing close relationship with Charles.

The couple are hosting a private party at their Highgrove home today. Camilla has chosen the favorite photographer of the late princess... The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte and even Prince Harry were all noticeably absent from the event.

The Duchess reaches her milestone birthday in good form.

On Thursday, she had enjoyed a garden party at Clarence House, where she wore a simple light-blue dress with an embellished bodice. "In a statement, the latter said that he was very " honored " to have immortalized the couple " for this very important date ", that is to say, the 70th birthday of the Duchess of Cornwall. In a statement, the photographer said he was "honored" to capture the couple "on this very important date", noting that after he first photographed her in 2006 he "discovered a kind and lovely person with a wonderful sense of humor".

For 70 years, as it celebrates this Monday, 17 July, Camilla Parker Bowles has released a new official portrait, in the company of her husband, prince Charles.

It followed a reception at Clarence House, which had an even more star-studded guest list - actors Dame Maggie Smith, Joanna Lumley and Richard E Grant were present, as was Australian author Kathy Lette. Although these were not shot as official birthday portraits Their Royal Highnesses liked them very much and felt it would be nice to share one of them to mark the day'.
