Carlo Ancelotti Confirms Arturo Vidal Is Staying But Renato Sanches Could Leave

Antonio Conte

"He's a complete striker, he can play in different positions".

Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti has admitted no decision has yet been taken on the future of Renato Sanches and believes there is a chance he could stay beyond the summer.

Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez were unable to regularly break into Zinedine Zidane's starting XI at Real Madrid.

'My plan is to give him the possibility to play part of the game, but not from the start because he only arrived [on Sunday] and started to work with us, ' Conte told a news conference.

Power up: Government to plough £246m investment into battery technology competition
He will emphasise the importance of "cutting-edge energy plans", which includes battery power and electric, driverless vehicles.

The 19-year-old failed to score in 25 appearances for the German giants last season, however, and Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed last week that AC Milan were interested in the midfielder.

"He's our player and I have a lot of confidence in him", he added. "We are hoping for a good test and are focused on a number of things - good play, defence, balance and attack", Ancelotti added. "I'm here to win titles and, with the help of my players and coach, we will do it".

With the Portugal worldwide now on tour with the Bundesliga champions in Singapore, Ancelotti says there will be no quick solution to his future and suggested he may even stay for a second season. "He'll stay with us 100 per cent - I'm confident about that".

On Tuesday, they tackle Chelsea in Singapore and Ancelotti has tipped his former club to make a strong impression in the Champions League as they return after claiming their domestic crown. "Of course, Dortmund will be there and it will be interesting to see how Leipzig go now that they have Champions League involvement and they are not used to playing in this competition, combining domestic and European football".
