Donald Trump hits out at poll showing his approval rating has plummeted

Mainstream Media CNN Fake News Get Trump

In a seeming effort to cover all possible bases, he suggested that the poll might be inaccurate, inflated his reported approval rating, and proposed that being hated by 60% of his constituents was perhaps not that bad. Even for Mr Trump himself, it represents a 6 per cent drop in his popularity from April. A majority expects the US stock market to be higher at the end of the year than its current reading, but they do not credit Trump with the market's recent gains.

US President Donald Trump denounced a new poll Sunday that indicates he has a lower approval rating than any of his predecessors at the six-month mark in 70 years.

Garbled grammar aside, Trump's essential message is this: My approval rating isn't bad at all!

Nearly 70 percent of those who thought Russian Federation interfered, say they think Trump's aides attempted to collude with Russian Federation.

In recent days, it was revealed that Trump's eldest son Donald Trump Jr. and two other senior campaign officials met in June 2016 with a Russian lawyer in hopes of receiving damaging information about Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. "If Trump's at 36% approve/58% disapprove, with 32% approval among independents, GOP won't hold the House", Bill Kristol, a Republican pundit and editor-at-large of The Weekly Standard conservative news magazine tweeted on Sunday.

Just under half of respondents (48 percent) said that America's leadership in the world has gotten weaker under Trump, while only 34 percent answered that they trust the president to negotiate on the United States' behalf with other world leaders to a good or great deal. What exactly are people thinking when they say they approve or disapprove of the way a president is handling his job?

An ABC/Washington Post poll published overnight shows that President Donald Trump has earned a historical distinction, though not one he's likely to celebrate.

The poll, conducted July 10-13, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

Also contributing to Trump's low approval ratings: 52 percent said they believed Trump, who fired FBI Director James Comey and declared the investigation a "witch hunt", was interfering with the probe, while 37 percent said he was cooperating.
