We finally know how the new iPhone 8 looks like

While we learned more about the design and features of the upcoming smartphone, reports claimed that trouble is brewing within Apple as the company scrambles before the deadline to launch the iPhone 8.

That's according to Forbes, which has published a new series of iPhone 8 renders. The leaks and rumours about the Apple iPhone 8 have been the talk of the town for quite some time now.

The last few iPhone models have begun shipping in mid-to-late September, now there is talk that the launch could slip to October a move that could give Samsung an advantage with the Korean Company still on track to launch their new Samsung Note 8 in NY in August.

The iPhone 8 was said to feature a 5.8-inch OLED display, with primary area of 5.15 inches, while the rest of the space will have virtual buttons, according to Kuo. Of course, that's assuming that the CAD files he has are actually from the iPhone 8 and not some fan project. The iPhone 8 is an entirely different beast though, and it should definitely satisfy all the Apple fans out there who have grown exhausted of the company's current design, which dates back to 2014.

This altered arrangement supposedly improves 3D depth perception when the phone is held in standard portrait mode, which should set the camera up to better employ augmented reality (AR) functions. With Apple receiving criticism in the past for a perceived lack of innovation in new iPhone models, the pressure is on the Cupertino company to make a splash with the iPhone 8.

An updated Touch ID fingerprint scanner that sits under the display is reportedly in development and facial recognition may help unlock the phone faster and more securely.

A third company, Wistron, is to produce the majority of the 5.5-inch model.

If these specs sound disappointing, just remember that Apple is celebrating the iPhone's 10th anniversary this year, and it would be completely off-brand for them to do anything that isn't totally mind-blowing.

Additionally, Apple will most likely switch to a vertical layout for its rear camera setup. "To fill the loss, Apple is supporting the other two suppliers, both Korean, to beef up production", the source continued.
