People in White House working to eject Donald Trump - Scaramucci

The author of the memo Rich Higgins who was in the strategic planning office at the NSC was among those recently pushed out

Scaramucci said he "disagreed" with Trump's statement, but that such differences of opinion would likely do little to shape the message coming out of the White House.

"What happened was sort of meant to happen", Scaramucci told ABC's "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos.

Scaramucci had served less than two weeks in Trump's administration.

The former Wall Steet tycoon was pushed out following a profanity-laced phone call with New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza which he said was "mischaracterized".

Anthony Scaramucci repeatedly blasted President Donald Trump's top political adviser Steve Bannon amid reports that the controversial aide may soon be ousted from the White House.

He went on to say that the president needed to bring in more loyalists, rather than party apparatchiks, to his team to drive through his agenda.

"I think there are elements inside of Washington, also inclusive in the White House, that are not necessarily abetting the president's interests or his agenda".

"And whether it's domestic or global terrorism, with the moral authority of the presidency you have to call that stuff out", he said.

In an appearance Saturday at his golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, Trump had vaguely faulted "many sides" for the violence - a phrase he then repeated.

On a separate livestream later, Scaramucci said he didn't know whether Bannon was a white supremacist, but said that his embrace of white nationalists was "inexcusable". Furthermore, Trump's advisers are "reluctant to tell him the truth", he said.

Scaramucci said Trump "has to move away from that sort of Bannon-bart nonsense" and "move more to the mainstream" way of thinking that is embraced by most moderate Republicans and independents.

The White House later Sunday issued a statement saying of Trump's condemnation: "Of course that includes white supremacists, KKK, Neo-Nazi and all extremist groups".

"It was going to be very hard for me to stay in the job, given the fact the Gen. Kelly took over and so I respect Gen. Kelly", he added.
