Apple Just Made A Big Change to iTunes

The New Remote For The Apple TV Will A Taptic Engine Just Like The iPhone

The latest update adds changes to Apple Music and Podcast but the most important is the removal of the ability to download and organize apps for iPads, iPods and iPhones.

Apple has released iTunes 12.7, the new software is now available to download for your Mac. The prompt will tell users that the App Store will no longer be found on iTunes. You might have to sign into your Apple account again and reconfigure some settings the first time you boot up iOS 11, but then you'll have the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system and the new features that come with it.

Although users won't be able to redownload previously purchased apps or ringtones on iTunes 12.7, users will still be able to sync those by plugging in their iOS device.

To be honest, we will not miss it. If you have access to a PC or Mac, you can also use iTunes to perform the update manually.

Other changes that support this move include the transition of Apple's educational iTunes U content into the Podcasts section, and the addition of Internet Radio in the sidebar.

Yu also warned of some bugs that may be encountered in the shift from iOS 10 to iOS 11, especially concerning quickly deprecating 32-bit apps.

On your Mac, launch the App Store app in your Applications folder. Next, users will have to click on the Update button on the top of the window. You'll need to re-download them.

Apple had been at the receiving end of criticism for making iTunes bloated and heavy with the integration of the app store.

Support for Apple Pencil has also been massively improved, with a souped-up version of the Notes app with support for inline drawing - one of the biggest complaints about the current Notes.
