The FA are set to launch an investigation after a group of Chelsea supporters sang an anti-Semitic song about Alvaro Morata at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon, report the Telegraph.

The Spanish striker, who joined the Blues from Real Madrid earlier in the summer, has already scored three goals for his new club.

But the adulation for the Spain star turned ugly as Chelsea's travelling fans unveiled a song aimed at their hated London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who have traditionally attracted support from London's Jewish communities.

After the game, Morata tweeted: "Since I arrived, I have been able to feel your support every single day, you are awesome and I'd like to ask you to please respect everyone!"

"I don't think Antonio was aware of the song", Chelsea spokesman Steve Atkins said.

When asked, Atkins was adamant such chants must stop and said the club were willing to take the highest forms of punishment against fans such as bans and criminal prosecution. "But the language in that song is not acceptable at all".

"Alvaro does not want to be connected with that particular song in any way and both the player and club request the supporters stop singing it with immediate effect".

Drogba was also pleased to see N'Golo Kante score a rare goal against the Foxes, with the French midfielder's performance prompting Conte to label him as the Premier League's best player after the win. "It is always important for a striker to score but for me it is important he is improving and always more involved in our football".

Chelsea play Azerbaijan's Qarabag in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night in the second of seven games in September. "It is always hard to play at Leicester so I am happy with the result".
