Kevin Hart's Wife I Plead the 5th

Kevin Hart's ex-wife feels 'vindicated' after shocking cheating rumours and apology video

With a threat of extortion over an alleged sex tape looming over him, Kevin Hart publicly apologized to his pregnant wife for his "bad error in judgement" and cheating on her.

"I'm at a place in my life where I feel like I have a target on my back", Hart said in an Instagram video addressing the incident.

"When I met him, he was selling sneakers", Torrei said to Inside Edition. It was later revealed that Hart was reportedly being extorted by a woman claiming to have video evidence of their sexual encounter.

Raising new speculation this week is a video Hart posted on social media over the weekend publicly apologizing for a "bad error in judgment" and implying that someone is trying to use his actions for their own financial gain. Since then, more videos have been released, including one accusing Hart of planning the "Texas Hurricane Relief Fund" for the sole goal of polishing up his image due to imminent scandal.

Check out screenshots obtained by TMZ and the woman believed to be question below. It shows two people having sex on a bed, but they can't be identified.

Hart didn't offer many further details, but called the announced scholarships one of several "major moves" ahead, and added that there is "more information to come soon".

Eniko Parrish, Kevin Hart, TV personality Ellen DeGeneres and actress Portia de Rossi at the People's Choice Awards in January.

Now here's what's shocking ... the extortionist who made the video says the point is 2-fold ... to expose Kevin and to get money.

Following the revelations, the FBI has launched an investigation, according to CBS Los Angeles. It's not clear, however, if the suspect is the person who took the video or the person who is making the extortion attempt, or if these are the same people.

She juxtaposed the scandalous footage with Hart's recent radio interviews chalking up his cheating to youth and explaining why he couldn't do that again.

Gonzalez found herself embroiled in a cheating scandal with the comedian in July.
