Lawyer disappointed Shkreli's bail was revoked

Martin Shkreli is escorted from his building by FBI agents

He gained notoriety for hiking up the price of an AIDS drug by 5,000 percent. Hauled before Congress, Shkreli smirked and refused to answer questions.

On Wednesday, September 13, his $5 million bond was revoked by federal court judge Kiyo Matsumoto, after he posted a $5,000 offer on Facebook for anyone who could secure a strand of Hillary Clinton's hair during her current book tour, ostensibly so that he could clone her.

"Will pay $5,000 per hair obtained from Hillary Clinton".

Now, it appears Shkreli's loquaciousness could be the biggest hurdle to his legal prospects.

Shkreli's Facebook post had the Secret Service on high alert, and prosecutors asked for the judge to revoke his bail, calling it "an escalating pattern of threats and harassment".

The judge said Shkreli's offer to pay a $5,000 bounty for a Clinton hair with the follicle was "solicitation of an assault". On Wednesday, his attorneys pleaded with the judge to give Shkreli another opportunity.

Shkreli was removed as the company's CEO after he was arrested over unrelated fraud allegations, but has maintained a media profile as a Donald Trump supporter. His sentencing will take place on January 16. Instead, he said he was making more money for them.

Catalans begin campaigning for independence referendum
Wednesday also saw Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy appear to rule out constitutional reform as a way of diffusing the crisis. But over 70 percent want a referendum to take place to settle the matter, similar to the plebiscite held in Scotland in 2014.

Martin Shkreli is facing an extended stint behind bars.

Now the 34-year-old will spend a considerable amount of time in a jail cell; however long it takes for his case to play out. "This is not a good sign of what the judge might be thinking" in terms of sentencing, said Ira Matetsky, a partner at NY law firm Ganfer & Shore.

"Lol Hillary Clinton's presumptive agents are hard at work".

In August, the former chief executive of Turing Pharmaceuticals LLC was convicted of defrauding investors of two hedge funds he ran. But he says Shkreli will have to live with it. But his out-of-court antics may have crushed those prospects.

Until next time, Shkreli. "The judge still retains some element of discretion".

Mr. Shkreli, he said, deserved another chance. His attorneys argued that while "stupid" and "unfortunate", his comments on Facebook did not amount to a threat. Shkreli edited the post to clarify he was being satirical and later took down the status, but many anxious one of Shkreli's followers would take the request seriously.

The government sought to get Shkreli locked up as a danger to the community amid the fallout from his social media post, which read: "The Clinton Foundation is willing to KILL to protect its secrets".
