Miami Police share photo of alleged Irma looters in jail

Miami police show what happens to Hurricane Irma looters

Cameras showed looters walking into the store via a busted storefront glass window and exiting with stolen goods.

Fort Lauderdale police said they arrested nine people Sunday on suspicion of looting a pawn shop and nearby shoe store.

The Fort Lauderdale police shamed two of the thugs that they caught.

You wish that those who take advantage of a natural disaster would be punished far more severely than simply larceny.

The minors involved in the incident were not named, but the arrested adults included Kenneth Pinkney, Zara Dumornay, Tyrell Pratt, Teonhki Robinson, Michael Brown and Rossano Henry Jr.

Palm Beach police reported that they arrested 25 suspects, mostly for breaking the 3 p.m. curfew on Saturday.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office deputies shot a teenager as he and another teen reportedly tried to break-in to evacuated homes in Weston, Florida, which is about 35 miles north of Miami.

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department shared a heartwarming photo of one officer with his K9 taking a nap together after working nonstop to help with evacuations.

Every incident will be investigated.

"Thinking about looting? Ask these guys how that tuned out", police said on Facebook, sharing an image of several people sitting in a jail cell.

While police in Broward and Pembroke Pines have issued threats to looters, Orlando police urged the public to not spread false reports of burglaries. "Choose wisely and stay home".
