Katy Perry Gets Stuck On Prop At He Nashville Show

Katy Perry was left dangling above the audience at a concert in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday night (18Oct17) after a stage prop malfunctioned.

This is not what she was stuck on. Presumably, the chair she was sitting on was supposed to be lowered during the song, but something went wrong and she couldn't get down.

"This is the first time I've been stuck in space", the 32-year-old Grammy nominee joked as she performed on a model of Saturn high above the crowd. I know I'm kind of a space cadet, but actually, this thing is being stuck right now.

She told fans that she could hear her production team in her ear making a "whole big deal" of the technical difficulty and teased the amused fans at Bridgestone Arena. I could be stuck here forever! She crowd surfs, of course. Katy then jokingly sang the title of the Ethel Merman song, There's No Business Like Show Business.

"It's really fun, way more fun than I thought it was going to be just because it's like with every contestant that walks though, it's like you're opening up a Christmas present", he smiled. I love this so much.

When the platform finally began its descent, Perry realized she'd have to step into the crowd to safely dismount the faulty prop.
