Marilyn Manson Injured by Falling Stage Prop

Marilyn Manson

About 45 minutes into a show on the Heaven Upside Down tour in NY last night, Marilyn Manson was injured-"crushed", according to some reports-by a falling stage prop.

Mason, whose band reached its peak in the 1990s, suffered the injury about an hour into the concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom when a prop resembling two large pistols appeared to suddenly fall on him, the magazine stated.

Manson's concerts from October 2 in Boston to October 14 in Houston have all been cancelled, according to the singer's rep.

"Manson hopes to return to the stage soon, more details on upcoming shows to follow", the singer's rep continued.

As of Sunday afternoon, the rep declined to say if Manson had left the NY hospital.

The injuries come as Manson prepares to release his 10th studio album, "Heaven Upside Down", on Friday. The stage crew lifted the fixture off of Manson, who reportedly laid on the stage for up to 15 minutes before EMT workers arrived to assist him onto a stretcher and off stage. One of the witnesses, 23-year-old Yousif Al Zaid, revealed that Manson "bent over holding one of the poles [found on the gun prop] and tipped over". No word yet on the extent of Manson's injuries.

REUTERS/Gus RuelasMusician Marilyn Manson arrives at the premiere of the new season of HBO's series "Eastbound & Down" in Los Angeles, California, September 27, 2013. Existing tickets will be honored at the rescheduled shows, which have not yet been announced. The Pittsburgh show was just the second stop of his Heaven Upside Down Tour, and it will be the last full show he plays for awhile; the next nine shows have been cancelled.
