MRI on knee comes back clean

Los Angeles California U.S- Head coach Mike D'Antoni of the Los Angeles Lakers during their NBA game against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday

Though Draymond Green shares the spotlight with fellow Golden State Warriors stars Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, he is the unquestioned emotional leader of the team.

It started a couple weeks ago, when D'Antoni offered this take on the Warriors-Rockets rivalry: "You're not going to stop them". We want to be a good defensive team, but when you play against guys like that, you better be able to score the ball. "Well, obviously (the Warriors) don't take it seriously either". We were isolating. We weren't playing our style of basketball. "So the physical conditioning will come as we play these games in the next week or two but what we can do is really lock in mentally". "And we were able to do both".

Green strained his knee late in the third quarter on Tuesday while driving to the basket, and he was seen wincing in pain after the play.

An MRI exam of Warriors forward Draymond Green's left knee on Friday (AEDT) showed no structural damage, according to reports. It's a long season and the Warriors are planning to play until June. Up until that injury, Green had been an all-around force, posting nine points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists in 28 minutes.

The former Michigan State standout is a three-time All-Defensive selection and is coming off a 2016-17 campaign that saw him average 10.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.0 assists and a league-high 2.0 steals per game. Long live National Basketball Association feuds.
