Police round up unusual suspect: young bull on soccer field

Baby cow running wild in Prospect Park after escaping slaughterhouse

If you've recently misplaced your bull, you may want to check Brooklyn. Officials are trying to catch it.

New York City police have wrangled a cow on the loose in a Brooklyn park after the animal became a spectacle for tourists and New Yorkers alike when it was spotted roaming the streets and enjoying the park facilities.

The bull got loose from a slaughterhouse near 16th Street and 4th Avenue in Sunset Park, authorities said. The child was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. First identified as a cow, the bull was cornered while running around the soccer fields on the south side of Prospect Park.

"I've been living here nearly 40 years, never seen one".

"I think it was the most insane thing that I've ever heard of, I mean a bull running around on a soccer field is pretty insane", said another resident. When another user responded that the animal was, in fact, a bull, the department replied, "Excuse our calf.er, gaffe".

"It was a valiant effort", one woman said.

That is likely what a New York City slaughterhouse is asking itself right now.
