Singapore tops, India @75th slot on Passport index

This is the first time an Asian country has the most powerful

Earlier this month, Turkey removed the visa-free status to the USA after a row with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Developed by global residence and citizenship advisory firm Arton Capital, the Passport Index is a free online interactive tool that sorts and ranks the world's passports by their cross-border access.

Meaning, residents of the Asian city-state can travel and cross borders more smoothly than any other passport holders.

In India's case, 24 countries allow its passport holders visa-free entry and 27 provide visa on arrival.

To see where your passport ranks - if it hasn't been mentioned already - see the full list here.

Afghanistan is at the bottom of the index with a score of 22.

Perhaps what's most surprising is how, despite public perception of being a welcoming nation, Canada actually ranks rather low when it comes to reciprocating. Singapore has the world's most powerful passport with its citizens being granted visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry to 159 different countries.

"For the first time ever, an Asian country has the most powerful passport in the world".

President". "Judging from the comments of those around him", she wrote, "countless other women before me [suffered similarly]". The producer hollywood is accused by some fifty women of sexual harassment, sexual assault or even rape.

Passport Index has released its power ranking and Singapore tops the list. However, it rose to the top this year after Paraguay removed visa requirements for Singaporean passport holders.

Germany is in second place, with citizens able to visit 158 countries without obtaining a visa first, while Sweden and South Korea are tied in third place.

The index takes into account 193 countries and six territories.

So which is the world's most powerful passport?

Since early 2017, the top position was shared with Singapore, which was steadily moving up the ranks.

The U.S. passport was in sixth place, alongside Malaysia, Ireland and Canada.

On the other hand, the United States passport has fallen in the ranking since President Donald Trump took office, according to the index.
