Google Home Max

The retailer let slip on Tuesday a pre-order listing for the Google Home Mini, showing a cute, puck-like round mound that looks like a speaker and not much else. Introduced by Google Glass desinger Isabelle Olson, the Home Mini is created to integrate itself into your home decor and seamlessly operate without drawing attention to itself.

The Home Mini goes on sale October 19 for $49 in three colors: chalk, charcoal, and coral (a reddish orange).

Along with the official reveal of the new Google Home Mini and Google Home Max speakers, there were a ton of other Google Home related announcements that were made today at the company's hardware press event. The Google Home Max is official and here's everything you need to know about the specs, price and United Kingdom release date. If you love Google Assistant and its ecosystem, this is now the easiest, cheapest way to integrate it into you life.

For instance, users can attach separate Google accounts to the Assistant and have Google Home recite different calendar appointments depending on the voice it hears. You can also connect the Home Mini to any Chromecast wireless speaker if you want louder audio.

Chandra added that Google Home Actions, and "Routines" are now being extended, allowing users to train Home to perform a longer set of actions based on their voice commands. It comes with better bass which is 24% more powerful than the original Google Home.

The Google Home Max is a rectangular speaker with superior acoustics for playing music, mimicking Apple's HomePod. If you're interested, here's hoping you're in the USA - the Google Home Max is a USA exclusive until "early next year" when it starts shipping elsewhere. The company is also touting improved voice recognition, with the ability to understand children as well.

As for music, it can play from Spotify (and several other streaming services), YouTube Music, Google Cast, and 3.55mm audio input.

Google also announced wireless headphones, called Pixel Buds.
