Drake backs former rival Meek Mill over prison sentence

Drake Says “Free Meek Mill” During Australia Show

Despite their storied beef, Drake has become the latest to voice his support for the incarcerated Meek Mill.

The 6 God is now touring in Australia and during his show in Melbourne on Saturday night, he paused for a few seconds to support the "Free Meek Mill" movement.

Now, Meek Mill's staunch nemesis has voiced his support for the rapper.

Drake gave his backing to the campaign to free Meek while performing at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena over the weekend, with the rapper spotting one fan in the audience wearing a "Free Meek Mill" t-shirt.

Colin Kaepernick recently spoke to Meek Mill in jail and says that in spite of the circumstances, the rapper is in good spirits. "You're right." Watch fan-shot footage of the onstage moment below.

Now, Meek is serving 2-4 years for probation violations. The two engaged in a long-running rap beef back in 2015, after Meek accused the OVO rapper of using a ghostwriter. A number of diss tracks followed from both camps, including Drake's "Back to Back" and Meek's "Wanna Know". JAY-Z has been very vocal about his disappointment in the justice system.
