Gigi Hadid 'pulls out' of Victoria's Secret Show in Shanghai

Gigi Hadid was scheduled to walk in the fashion show for the third year in a row, but announced on Thursday via Twitter that she was no longer attending.

Meanwhile, Gigi's sister, Bella, is expected to hit the VS runway, along with Lais Ribeiro, Jasmine Tookes, Lily Aldridge and Sara Sampaio.

Hadid didn't share any other details but she could be among one of the few models who weren't able to obtain Chinese Visas to make the trip, including Julia Belyakova, Kate Grigorieva and Irina Sharipova from Russian Federation, as well as Dasha Khlystun from Ukraine. In fact, in August, she announced on Instagram that she is invited to the next show again. The video was not well received in China.

The 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is, well, kind of falling apart. The pop star Katy Perry was reportedly denied a visa. 'Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit! With just days left for the year's sexiest lingerie show that sees some of the top models walking the runway, Gigi Hadid has revealed that she won't be a part of this year's line-up.

'Can't wait to tune in with everyone to see the lovely show I know it will be, and already can't wait for next year'.

The VS Fashion Show airs Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 10 p.m. on CBS. Also, the Chinese social media users gave her a warning not to come to Shanghai and called her a racist. Last night, she appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", where she and the host modeled two of the pairs. The report added that Harry Styles would replace Perry. Per Page Six, Chinese officials are known to comb through the history of performers, looking out for offensive or anti-Chinese sentiments. 'Maroon 5 was banned a few years ago because one band member wished the Dalai Lama happy birthday on Twitter'.

Page Six also noted that Adriana Lima is also having difficulties securing her visa due to a "diplomatic problem".
