Joshua: Unification fight with Wilder has to happen

The self-titled "gypsy king" posted direct to the US President on Twitter asking him if he would form part of his entourage for the fight everyone seems to want.

Joshua once again stated his desire to add the WBC and WBO belts to his collection on Saturday night (28 October) after defending the WBA (Super), IBF and IBO titles with a dogged 10th-round stoppage of remarkably durable replacement opponent Carlos Takam at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.

His preparation for the fight was considerable - stamina work, technique, strength and flexibility, no stone was left un-turned.

"You want Whyte and I want Joshua", Wilder said, per Sky Sports.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has hinted that fights with Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder and Joseph Parker could all be on the cards.

Mueller Intensifying Pressure in Flynn Investigation, Has Enough Evidence to Charge
Michael Flynn , former national security adviser to President Trump , to charge him with a crime, according to a new report. Other media sources are jumping on the report to say it's a sign Mueller "is closing in on the White House".

Joshua says his promoter has been onto the Gypsy King about setting up a mega-fight with the former world champ after he was given the green light to return to the ring. "I will not chase him", the American said.

Not many would associate Anthony Joshua and Bear Grylls with a pre-fight workout so to speak, with one another being in the different fields that they are. "We are going to lure you in, you can only run for so long and so far".

He continued: "Eddie has been on the phone to Tyson, trying to make things happen and support his cause".

"When I put myself in line to become a champion, there come obligations with it. I want the other two belts out there, whether it's Wilder first or Parker".

Asked whether Wilder was a fight he needed, the 2012 Olympic gold medallist replied: "Yeah, boxing needs it".
