'Pitch Perfect' Star Rebel Wilson Shares Her Story of Sexual Harassment

Rebel Wilson attends the 5th Annual Australians in Film Awards at Neue House Hollywood in Los Angeles

Rebel Wilson has come forward with her own stories of sexual harassment in Hollywood. The "Pitch Perfect" star said in a series of tweets that an actor in the business asked her to perform a sexual act repeatedly.

Taking to social media yesterday, Wilson detailed the first of these incidents, saying that an unnamed "male star" tried to take advantage of her, and that she has since warned other people in the film industry about his behaviour.

Furthermore, the Pitch Perfect alumni claimed one of the man's representatives called her and said she should support him despite the altercation.

Wilson said she immediately filed a complaint through her lawyer to the studio (also unnamed), "basically to protect myself that in the event something similar ever occurred I'd be able to walk out of the job and not obliged to return".

She then went on to talk about how she was invited to a hotel room with a top director, which she believed would be relating to work.

Wilson claims that she was harassed my by a male co-star who she has not named.

The 37-year-old Australian began by saying that she has been in a "bubble" of sorts overseas, and hasn't been able to keep up with all of the news properly as she's working on new comedy.

"Nothing physical happened because the guy's wife called and started abusing him over the phone for sleeping with actresses and luckily she was yelling so loud that I could hear her and I bolted out of there immediately". I realize not everyone is as lucky.

"To hear how prevalent sexual harassment and assault is, is just so saddening", Wilson wrote.

The actress declared at the end of her post that if she ever witnesses behavior like that again she will no longer be "polite".

Wilson is the latest of a growing number of actors to come forward with an account of the culture of sexual harassment at the heart of Hollywood. "Interpret that as you will", she declared.

Police forces in the UK and the United States are looking into the allegations of abuse by more than 50 women against the producer.

However, she did not actually say the director made any advances toward her.
