Samsung A5 SM-A530 Surfaces On Samsung Site

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) gets FCC nod; mid-range Android phone launch imminent

Ever since, it has been launching new smartphones every year.

The same leaker, however, tweeted renders a few weeks ago that featured the purported design of Samsung's Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 mid-range handsets.

With this design change, it's obvious that Samsung aims to shift the fingerprint scanner to the back of the Galaxy A5 2018.

Twitter user Roland Quandt had pointed this out and the model number for the Galaxy A5 is listed as SM-A530N. The new smartphone will probably run Android 8 Oreo out of the box.

We know it's on the way because Samsung has posted a support page for the phone on its South Korean website. Various rumors claimed that the Galaxy S8 will feature a dual lens camera setup, which was first introduced on this year's Note handset after having been popularized by Apple's iPhone 7 Plus.

What's it gonna look like?

Meanwhile, the smartphone was spotted on company's official website, which confirms the existence of the latest series via a support page. According to a report on GSMArena it will come with Exynos 7885 chipset and 4 GB RAM. The cover case shows a large cut out at the back indicating the inclusion of a fingerprint sensor below the camera or dual rear cameras. It is also said that the next-gen A series Samsung smartphone may come with improved camera department compared to its predecessors. Although, they did not go ahead to confirm any of the specifications.

It is also likely that the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) will sport a USB Type-C port and the new Bixby button, which will call Samsung's resident virtual assistant right away. The Exynos 8895 competes with Qualcomm's top-end Snapdragon 835 processor. It is also noteworthy that Samsung hasn't revealed any details about these upcoming smartphones as of yet.
