Trader Joe's recalls certain fresh salads sold in Arizona

Trader Joe's is recalling a variety of packaged salads over fears they could contain glass shards or pieces of plastic.

-11.0-oz. Trader joe's curried white chicken deli salad with toasted cashews, green onion and a bit of honey. Affected salads will also have the U.S. Department of Agriculture's inspection code "P-40299".

The turkey cranberry salads were sold in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

The recalled salads have the use-by date codes from November 10 through November 21 and U.S.D.A. inspected code P-40299.

Trader Joe's said products with other "inspected" codes were not affected because they were created at separate sites.

Green Cuisine, a San Fernando, Calif.

All potentially affected products have been removed from store shelves and destroyed, according to the statement.

If you purchased one of those salads with that inspection code in one of those states, Trader Joe's is telling customers to throw them away or return them to a retail location for a full refund.
