Call of Duty WWII will warm you up with a Winter Siege

Are you excited for the first Call of Duty: WWII community event and new weapons?

The Winter Siege event kicks off on Friday, Dec. 8, and Sledgehammer Games is stuffing players' stockings with tons of in-game presents. In addition to the game's boots-on-the-ground combat, Multiplayer offers a host of new mode, system and gameplay innovations across iconic map locations; while an all-new Nazi Zombies Cooperative mode unleashes a startling, new storyline and adrenaline filled experience.

The event also introduces the new seasonally themed Winter Carentan map, which adds a sprinkling of snow to the war-ravaged French town found in the regular Carentan map.

The first free Supply Drop is available from Friday December 8th until Monday December 11th and, from then on, a new gift will arrive each Monday until Winter Siege ends.

Additionally, the fan-favorite game mode Gun Game will be featured in WWII during the Winter Siege event.

The Winter Siege is set to bring five new guns to WWII, according to the trailer. It will be winterized, with the beach encampment taking on a snowy appearance for the span of the event. Captain Butcher visits Headquarters bearing Winter Siege Division uniforms, cosmetic items and weapon variants. Orders will be rotated each day to allow players multiple opportunities to get the weapons. Players will receive one of these for free each week.

The cold of the winter begs for specially-created weapons, with variants available only during the Winter Siege event. It will be one of the titles in the Double XP playlist during Winter Siege. Players can also purchase Winter Siege Supply Drops using Call of Duty Points in-game currency.
